Non-invasive Vagus Nerve Stimulation for neurodevelopmental disorders: improving patients‘ quality of life, resiliency and outcome
The fields of paediatric neurology and psychiatry are more and more overlapping. Although Central Nervous system plasticity is better understood, neurological and psychiatric treatments for children remain scarce and few affordable disruptive therapeutic options have emerged so far. Paradoxically, children are often diagnosed earlier. Hopefully, non-invasive neuromodulation, a technology that acts directly upon nerves activity in a target area, is a good candidate to safely revolutionize the management of neurodevelopmental disorders.
