If you know a child who uses the online space then this lecture is for you. You will learn about the why of online behaviour and what risks this can lead children and young people into when engaing with technology spaces, applications and people and now bots!

Lecture series by the Forum Psychosomatics and E-Mental Health

The presentation will address the issues of risk that children encounter when using digital technology and will include child development, attachment and trauma as the underlying motivations for such behaviours. In the presentation the impact of cybertrauma will be explored in relation to the online harms encountered and how this synthesises with the risks taken. Discussions will take place about how to support children and adults with the impact of cybertrauma and how to use theory of cybertrauma to support a system around children and how this can become a therapeutic plan for recovery, development and resilience.
