Introduction of the SFU “Zentrum für den Bewegungsapparat” with guest lectures on “basics of muscle training in different ages” organized by the center together with the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Rehabilitation Research.
Different therapy and training methods are widely used. But what about the basics of muscle training? We want to show histological, molecular biological and electron microscopic findings for underlying mechanisms of muscle adaptation in young and elderly.
Main content
- Histological effects of immobility and Exercise in the elderly
- Molecular biological basis and effects of immobility and training and electrical stimulation
- Electron microscopic principles for Immobility and training in animal experiments & humans
- Movement science and training in physical and rehabilitation medicine
Methodology
